ServerDeck

Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ServerDeck ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree to all of these terms, you may not access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

ServerDeck is a web-based VPS (Virtual Private Server) management platform that allows you to monitor, manage, and interact with your servers via SSH. Features include server metrics collection, domain monitoring, SSL certificate tracking, service monitoring, team management, and browser-based SSH access. The Service is provided on a subscription basis with a free tier and paid plans.

3. Account Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • All activities that occur under your account.
  • Ensuring your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Immediately notifying us at [email protected] of any unauthorized use of your account.
  • The accuracy of information provided during registration.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any laws or regulations in any applicable jurisdiction.
  • Transmit malware, ransomware, spam, or other harmful or malicious content.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other systems, networks, or accounts.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity, performance, or availability of the Service.
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Service without prior written permission.
  • Conduct automated large-scale data scraping or abuse API endpoints.
  • Impersonate any person or entity.

5. SSH Credential Storage

ServerDeck stores SSH credentials (passwords and private keys) encrypted at rest using AES-256 (Fernet) symmetric encryption. While we employ industry-standard security measures, you acknowledge that storing credentials with any third-party service carries inherent risk and you do so at your own discretion. We recommend using SSH key authentication rather than passwords wherever possible.

6. Subscriptions and Billing

Paid plans ("Pro") are billed on a monthly or annual basis via our payment processor, Paddle. By subscribing:

  • You authorize recurring charges to your payment method on each billing cycle.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
  • You may cancel at any time through the billing portal in your account settings.
  • Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

7. Plan Limits

Each plan has limits on the number of servers and team members. If you exceed free plan limits, you will be prompted to upgrade. Existing data is never automatically deleted when limits are reached — you simply cannot add new resources until you upgrade or remove existing ones.

8. Service Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We reserve the right to perform maintenance, upgrades, or emergency fixes that may temporarily affect availability. We will provide advance notice of scheduled maintenance where possible.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ServerDeck and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service — including but not limited to data loss, server downtime, unauthorized access to your servers, or loss of revenue. Our total liability for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the three months preceding the claim.

10. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, and content, is owned by ServerDeck and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your own internal business purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written consent.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms, is harmful to other users, or poses a security risk. Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. You may request an export of your data before termination where technically feasible.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to binding arbitration or the jurisdiction agreed upon in writing.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on the Service or by email at least 14 days in advance. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Contact

If you have any questions about these Terms, please contact us at [email protected].
